A free breast & cervical cancer screening program for WV women from the ages of 25 to 64. Women must meet income guidelines, have no health insurance or have health insurance that does not cover screenings. Services offered by appointment. Program covers:

• Mammograms (ages 50 – 64)
• Pap test
• Pelvic exams
• Breast exams

This is a free confidential program that offers condoms, on a walk in basis and pregnancy tests by appointment. Referrals are made for other forms of birth control.  

HIV testing is done by court orders only. Counseling and information is available. Referrals are made for testing.

STD counseling and information is available. Testing is referred to a larger Health Department or private physician.

TB tests are done on Mondays from 9am to 11:30 am. X-rays are available for those who have current positive TB tests.  No appointment is necessary. There is a $5.75 fee for this service.

Offered every Monday April through August 9am to 11:30am: Septemeber through March on the 1st and 3rd Mondays 9am to 11:30 am. No appointment is necessary. Immunizations are offered to children birth through 18 years of age. Tetanus is the only immunization offered to Adults. No appointment is necessary. Previous immunization records are required to receive immunizations.

A registered nurse works with pregnant women and infants to ensure they are getting the health care needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided for medical appointments. This is a Medicaid eligible program.

Community Health Services are offered Mondays 8am to 9am for diet counseling, Blood pressure, diabetic and total cholesterol tests. These services are free to citizens of Lincoln County. Outreach clinic at Garretts Bend Community Center on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9am-10am.

WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.

WIC services include:

Nutrition counseling and education, Breastfeeding promotion and support, Health screening , medical and social service referrals, and Monthly food packages There are income guidelines.
